Benue state former Governor, Gabriel Suswam has been arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for corruption and money laundering charges.
According to Channels report,Suswam is being arrainged by the EFCC at the Federal High Court In Abuja on a 9-count charge of N3.1Billion
The former Governor and his Finance commissioner Omodachi Okolobia were alleged to have also diverted the proceeds of the sale of shares owned by the Benue State Government and Benue Investment and Property Company Limited.The EFCC Had questioned both men in october 2015 but were both released on Administrative bail.
However, Suswam had denied the allegation against him saying it is politically motivated.
